Finding New Characters through Vocal Placement!
Gain a competitive advantage! Learn how to create and sustain characters using vocal placement that will work for any genre! This October, you'll have access to two amazing industry professionals for a special, never before offered, THREE-HOUR workshop!
In this class, you will:
- Learn vocal warm ups, breath work, and stretches to create more freedom in your voice.
- Learn the mechanics of vocal placement, gain awareness of resonance areas and how to focus your sound to create characters.
- Be directed on how to stay consistent vocally in your approach to performing characters
About Everett:
Everett’s personal journey has taken him from the Big Apple as a kid, to Georgia where he graduated from Clark Atlanta University, to Los Angeles, where he has been working in the voiceover industry for over two decades. Everett has worked on hit animated primetime shows including: The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Men in Black, Jackie Chan Adventures, Hellboy, and X-Men Evolution, (just to name a few), and has worked with animation industry titans such as Disney, Columbia Tri-Star, and Film Roman/Starz. One of the most valuable experiences that Everett brings to the table is his time as a Booth-Director for a LA-based talent agency.
About Armi:
Armi Abiera has worked in the performing arts and entertainment industries for the past 25 years. As an actor and vocalist, she has appeared in the West End production of The King and I as Tuptim. She starred as Belle in Beauty and the Beast in Germany, and has appeared in numerous other professional musical theatre productions, including Miss Saigon and Mamma Mia! Armi has worked in voiceover, appeared on-camera in national commercials, Television, short films, and web-series. She can be heard as Tuptim in Warner Bros. animated feature film The King and I, BMW Holiday campaign, and Novi Financial App. Armi is also passionate about helping artists hone their skills in singing, acting, and voiceover.
