EVENT DETAILS
This December, join us for a TWO-PART Master Class in Acting with critically acclaimed actor Fred Melamed of Marvel's Wandavision, In a World, and Adventure Time, and more (see below)!
Fred was recently named by New York Magazine as one of The 32 Greatest Character Actors Working Today
PLEASE NOTE: This TWO PART workshop takes place December 1st AND December 8th from 5 - 6:30pm PT. Both sessions are required for participation. This event will be recorded.
In this special two-part Master Class, Fred Melamed will teach the techniques that he, himself utilizes in his acting.
Everyone auditioning for a role uses the same words, so what makes one person’s reading more compelling––superior to the others? It is what the performance delivers besides the words, or, more precisely, that illuminates the words: sub-text. Artists in the class will learn:
- How to derive potent, useful sub-texts for any text
- How to apply them with full commitment
- How to develop a sense of their own inner-mechanics, so they can determine if a given choice is working, or if it requires adjustment
Class members will use this technique both at home while practicing, and in-class as we work together.
